Ishkutau – Wind Farm Development Prefeasibility Study

Project Objective :

Assessing the initial feasibility of a wind development project within the territory of an Indigenous community, which includes exploring potential collaborations with other Indigenous communities.

Our role :

Technical Expertise & Project Lead & Coordination:

• Coordinating community consultations

• Evaluating the site for the implementation of the project

• Coordinating explorative studies (geomatic, constrain mapping, land uses, etc.)

• Research of specific wind material usable in the Northern Quebec

• Reporting to Indigenous leadership

• Facilitating legal and regulatory analysis

• Presenting ambitious project to various stakeholders (provincial government officials; Hydro-Québec; other indigenous nations).

Status : On going

• Finalize the financial analysis and completing the pre-feasibility study.

Results :

• Secured funding to conduct the study

• Prepared a complete financial and technical feasibility study
